Casio Privia PX-555 Keyboard
It was a recondioned unit. As soon as you start playing the better stereo sampled sounds you drop down to 16 note. I found that the notes drop off very quickly when that happens.
Depending on the gig i. Yeah, I agree with all comments above – the 32 note polyphony of the PX is shallow and px-5555r are the arranger features, but damn what a nice feel and sound on that stereo acoustic piano.

Unfortunately I played the long ago and I don’t remember what I didn’t like about it, but I know I like the sound of the newer over the older Privias. The one big problem with the Casio’s including the WK series[also good sounds] The action is on par with any I’ve played, including my own Motif ES 8, and the new triple-layer ZPI stereo acoustic piano sound is equally stunning.

Playing over top of sequences creates a little havoc I also own a Yamaha U1 upright piano, so I can easily compare the keyboard action on both, and like the others have said, the keyboard action on this thing is very nice, a little stiffer than the acoustic but I like it better, because I can “dig in” better, very smooth, not clunky at all, and the keys do not bottom out hard if you know what I mean.

The digital pianos are very playable The auto accompaniment feature allows players to select from three different accompaniment modes: I’ve also find that the default stereo piano is really nice by itself if I layer it with the grand piano it sound almost too full – I guess that is personal preference, I wish it had some kind of EQ – so I could balance it better to my taste.

This has never been addressed in any of their auto accompaniment instruments;all other arrangers Yamaha,Roland,Korg and the recently deceased Technics provide this very necessary feature.
casii I used a Casio WK on stage a couple weeks. That’s my opinion after having it one day, I might update this in a few more days, after I’ve gotten more accustomed to it, but my initial impression is WOW!
